Msn windows live name editor

It looks like the person with that problem never got a solution and whatever 'temporary' problem they had over 2 years ago is hardly going to apply here. In any case that 'temporary' error message has gone now. I have tried from a different browser to check whether it's a caching issue but no, using firefox it still shows my name as being changed in the 'edit' page but still hasn't changed anywhere else.

So frustrating. Does anyone have an answer to this? I hope this helps. If it does, please mark this as "Solved my problem" or "Helpful". At the top where your name appears, press on the small drop down arrow. In the Personal section as shown below, you can edit your display name.
